What is NADCAP?
NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) is known as the International Aviation and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program. The purpose of NADCAP is to evaluate and approve the compliance of the special processes managed by the organizations, whose production activities are carried out, in order to support their production activities, with the aviation sector rules. In NADCAP, which is recognized by all aviation industry authorities and managed by PRI (Performance Review Institute), there are audit programs for certain special processes.

Why become NADCAP Accredited?
There are two primary reasons for seeking accreditation. The most obvious reason is that your customer is making accreditation mandatory for doing business.
The second reason is because the various standards will ensure that consensus-based best practices are implemented for increasing quality of a product process or service. ISO 9000 only prescribes general requirements for business management and is insufficient as a Nadcap pre-requisite.
